artists of the black hills

As a child my favorite pastime was collecting rocks and drawing faces on them. As I grew I continued to feel a constant urge to create with my hands and after experimenting with ceramics, painting, stained glass, and various forms of needle work, I finally discovered my passion for designing jewelry. My favorite thing about creating jewelry is making distinctive eye-catching pieces that result in the happiness of the wearer.

One of the most important aspects of my jewelry is the consideration I take in the materials that I select to ensure the highest quality. Also, in order to create a look that is stylish as well as artistic. I give great attention to detail, color, and texture.

I choose my materials not just for their beauty but for the role each part will play in the overall piece. For this reason I use only the best components available.

Inspiration for my work is derived from the intricate designs and color found in nature. The light in a cloud streaked sky, and the shapes of leaves and flowers in a garden, as well as the exotic colors of the ocean and various cultures including those of the past as well as the present.

To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly.

Henri Bergson
