The landmark, Bear Butte, has been a subject in several of my paintings. Rising from the plains, this majestic geologic feature sits in Meade County, about 30 miles south of the ranch where I live and work. I’ve been drawn to landscapes for as long as I can remember and enjoy heading out, paints in tow, to create artwork depicting scenery that makes the Black Hills region so popular.
