Dede Farrar

Dede lives in the center of the Black Hills near Pactola Lake with her faithful canine companion and muse Tiger, the Catahoula Leopard Dog. Her home is her studio where she creates acrylic paintings on gallery wrap canvas that feature animals, scenes and culture of the modern American West. She enjoys road trips and traveling in general, collecting photographic references for later use. She considers herself a contemporary impressionist using bright colors, lots of texture, and creating images of a fleeting moment in time.
