Ripples of Light

An early evening shaft of light illuminates this spot in the Badlands only several times a year due to the daily movement of the sun between trees, nearby hillsides and of course the position of the sun relative to the earth. This image reminds us that every moment in time is a fleeting opportunity for beauty.
